Meal Manners make or break you!

Off late I attended a dinner in an expensive hotel.Ambiance was exorbitant and exquisite. And delicasies were mouth watering.Still I could not enjoy dinner because I was seated next to a person who was horrandous with his meal meal manners. So I thought of inking a few.Do not go to dinner party with empty stomach.Because you hog on food.Keep control on your hunger!Eat little and go to such parties.

firstly take a bite size only.If they sre smaller the better! Do not over stuff your mouth with food bite.Be very careful about this.
secondly don't try even to talk when you have food in mouth. If you spit the food while talking then God also will not save you from cuttin sorry figure.
If at all you ought to speak then cover your moth and speak.
Eat noiselessly as far as possible.
Do not fill all the variety at once. You can have as many services as you need.No one is going to stop you.
Do not taste from other's plate out of affinity.Neither you can offer from yours plate.
Keep mobile phones in silent mode.
Never season without tasting the food that is considered as an insult to cook!
If a lady of the house has cooked means you are insulting her directly. Taste the food and then if you feel then you can add pepper and salt.if you see any person taking medicine then don't ask him the reason! It is against corporate etiquette.
While leaving the table don't ask others where are they going. That is none of your business.
Keep three feet distance at least while having dinner in buffet style.
While leaving at last thank the host and hostess
Don't go empty handed when you are invited for dinner.

The rest in the next post have a happy dinner

Business Mantra

When I think, actually basics are the same across the world. Here are 11 rules told by computer czar Bill Gates.Bill Gates doesn't need an introduction,so straight way will walk through his rules.I feel the greater they become they follow the simpler rules very stringently, and move ahead with success. It means there is a great strength in simplicity which we need to discover!

RULE 1
Life is not fair - get used to it.

RULE 2
The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world
will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel
good about yourself.

RULE 3
You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out
of high school. You won't be a vice president with
car phone, until you earn both.

RULE 4
If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a
boss. He doesn't have tenure.

RULE 5
Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your
grandparents had a different word for burger flipping
they
called it Opportunity.

RULE 6
If you mess up,it's not your parents' fault, so don't
whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

RULE 7
Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as
they are now. They got that way from paying your bills,
cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about
how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest
from the parasites of your parent's generation, try
delousing the closet in your own room.

RULE 8
Your school may have done away with winners and losers,
but life has not. In some schools they have abolished
failing grades and they'll give you as many times as
you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the
slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

RULE 9
Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get
summers off and very few employers are interested in
helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.

RULE 10
Television is NOT real life. In real life people
actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

RULE 11
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for
one.

the jewels story (enjoyment, fulfillment, possession, wealth, materialism, greed)

Today I remembered a story, so sharing with you. Once there was a greedy rich person. He had an unquenchable thirst for hoarding wealth. He kept on collecting the most precious jewels around the world. One like minded visitor came to him and wished to see his riches. Surprisingly greedy person agreed to display his wealth in front of the visitor. So the most precious jewels were brought out in the tight security. The visitor was gaped at them! While leaving, the visitor showed his courtesy by saying ‘thank you very much for sharing your jewels.’ The greedy person suddenly yelled ‘I didn’t share with you! They are all mine only!’
Then the visitor told him ‘yes of course, they are yours only. But we enjoyed the same looking at them. The difference between me and you is buying and safe guarding them all the time.’
I don’t want to become philosophic here, but there is a solid point hidden in this story. There is no ceiling for materialism and greed. We need to put a ceiling! The need of the hour!

Positive attitude

Today am in a mood to tell you a story. A boy was very naughty, used to do all sorts of juggling and acrobats. He fell down and met with an accident badly. His father rushed him to the hospital. There in the hospital also he was hyperactive. He had bandage on forehead and hand.Kept on playing in his hospital room itself. Then he found one coin. He was so happy to collect it.When his father came he told him that he was very lucky as he got a coin! His father smiled gently and looked deep in to his eyes.Father was thinking 'may be this is what positivity! in spite of all the ill happenings that boy could see only good happening.'
Sometimes we are not able to see positivity just around us.We need to develop this attitude first.Remember good things in the middle of bad times. This practice keeps you alive and positive.Positivity should be incorporated as it could not be bought! So be positive....good times are ahead...!

Tips of Warren Buffet

I can't stop myself writing about Warren Buffet. He gave business world an entirely new meaning! He leads by example that is the beauty of his advise. Let me talk on his advice that says 'Risk comes from not knowing what you're doing.'Means we should know every inch of our business before starting. We should study thoroughly our business strategies.Don't you think it is so simple yet difficult to follow. We see many businesses starting with great enthusiasm but gradually the curtain will be put on them because no one knew the business thoroughly.knowing the business from a scratch and consistency pay good returns.
Buffet also says 'If you don't know jewelry, know the jeweler.'How true it is!Relationship matters very much in corporate world. That doesn't mean you jerk away from your work.At least you could predict what would be the next move of the management. If you know the jeweler some or the other day you will come to know about jewelry by maintaining relationship!
If you don't feel comfortable owning something for 10 years, then don't own it for 10 minutes! This has caught my mind very much.I see so many businesses running. They boast that their business are very old. It is a time tested formula, they don't want to take a chance.Another interpretation would be like Just carrying on the business mindlessly. Some times it may prove a pain in the neck! but still carrying on is not worth!

Why corporate?

I just winder why we need to go to corporate and then learn all the basic etiquette?
If we are good by heart and good human beings then life becomes so easy! Where are we lacking I don't know.Corporate Etiquette can teach you how behave in parties or if the office,My concern is if you are meticulous and disciplined then you float with the flow effortlessly.

The basic qualification is good human being. There is no dearth of knowledge, intelligence and the skills among youngsters. What they need is to incorporate the right attitude, which is missing!World wide statistics shows 53% of companies fail because of poor performance by HR.Nowadays we lack good managers nothing else. A good leader can sway the people the way he likes! That is the charisma! But being good leader takes a lot.A leader is not born he is made nowadays.Anybody can be the leader if he has got those qualities.A leader has to be powerful package of everything. Then he can take his own company whatever altitude he wishes!

Corporate Communication!

I would like to start with Steve Job's saying 'stay hungry stay foolish!' In this he has covered all the tenets of corporate world! I am mesmerized by his personality.I admire him for his hard core and undying spirit! That is what needed at this moment!Fire in belly. We need to keep this fire alive till we achieve our goals.
Stay hungry and stay foolish gives a message that we need to be hungry always for knowledge and learning! This attitude only takes us afar.Steve says-no excuses would work, just get immersed in the work then everything would follow you! How beautiful is this?
The materialism has conquered us so badly that we are becoming partially blind towards the real knowledge. The rush to earn fast buck is so much, probably learning has taken a back seat.
Bring learning in the front seat!
